MEMORIAL DAY 2019 - HONORING AND REMEMBERING OUR VETERANS













You have given so much, often paid the ultimate price, how do we thank you? We humbly salute you and extend sincere gratitude for your service.

To the Community: please take a small portion of your time to turn out for the Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 27th. The parade will step-off at 10:15 a.m. starting at the Main Street/Davis Street intersection and proceed to Veterans Square where a ceremony will take place. Listen to Sgt. Kristofer Goll, Father Raymond Gramata,and RRNCO Steven Kloss speak. Witness Amy Peterson and Chaplain Patricia Crooks of the Francis Sherman VFW Post 212 Auxiliary along with Peggy Price and Chaplain Sandy Jamison of the American Legion Post 108 Auxiliary carry out Placing of the Sprays. Virginia Palagonia of the American Legion Post 108 will be doing the reading of Flanders Field followed by U.S. Army Veteran and VFW Post 212 Chaplain, Jim Long, giving the memorial address.

Recognition by VFW Post 212 Quartermaster Charles Beattie. Symbolic graves will be decorated by a detail of Armed Forces representatives. Detail commander will be Andy Ackler. Participants will be Carlos Torres, John Bacha, Joe Palagonia, Chris Whitlow, Larry Fox, and Ray Galle. American Legion Post 108 will perform the 21 Gun Salute under the direction of Capt. George Lindy.

Spencer Whittemore will play "Taps", benediction by Father Raymond Gramata. The Bradord High School Marching Owls under the direction of Marissa Golden will provide several musical selections.

Memorial of Veterans Lost at Sea will be done by Jerry Kohler and Little Miss Poppy Saleh Stavish at the Mechanic Street Bridge.

The Bradford Landmark Society, celebrating our 50th Anniversary, is honored to be able to participate in the parade.
